Valla Series - Books 1-4
/When I started Unraveling Emily, I didn’t know what I was doing and sometimes wouldn’t write a word for six months at a time, which is why it took about seven years to complete.
With Descendant of Valla I had an outline, I had an idea of the process, and I knew exactly where I wanted the story to go. But my characters betrayed me, and although I kept most of the story, I had to rearrange huge chunks, painfully chopping up the book three times before I was satisfied.
Guardian of Latovia has been the most exciting book to write so far. It flowed out of me, coming together so naturally. Then I stepped back and looked at what I created and worried about what the readers would think. The little world I built becomes so much bigger and hotter in the third book. I stopped myself from taming it because it’s the story I needed to write. I still gave it to my beta readers with a warning label. But the feedback I received was incredible. My beta readers ate it up. So, I guess what I’m saying is if you don’t like it, blame them. 😘
Books to look forward to in the future:
This Winter (probably late winter) I tentatively have two books planned with a possible Valla Series Novella releasing in the Fall. I’ve been so busy editing and dealing with all that goes into producing books that I haven’t had much time to sit down and write. I can’t wait to start writing again!
I know everyone is anxious for book four, but I really want to finish writing this stand-alone novel I started called Pink f*cking Moscato. I am so excited about this book, and if the title offends you, I’m sorry, this is not the book for you.
The Big Reveal! I am in love with the cover for book four of the Valla Series, Broken Alliance.
Latovia is a mystery they’ve only begun to understand, but as suspicions grow, the clock is counting down. One unavoidable decision with no simple solution leads to deadly consequences, splintering relationships and shattering alliances. Survival is the goal, but fatalities are inevitable. After all, this is war.
