Dare to Hope
/You know when you drive over a hill too quickly and get that weird feeling like for a second your stomach is weightless? When I was young I loved that feeling. I begged my parents to go faster over the hills so I could feel it, but now sometimes that feeling is accompanied with the side effect of nausea. Well, this past week has been one hilly ride. One that isn’t over yet.
Hope is scary because it leaves you open to getting crushed. It’s kind of like that second of weightlessness before gravity returns and you feel sick to your stomach. But hope is hard to kill. So here I go again, daring to hope.
I inherited this mug from a friend who was badass and brilliant. Now, I use it as a reminder to be more like her. I may not be brilliant yet, but every obstacle is a chance to learn.
